Why is our gut microbiome important?
Gut microbiomes are all those bacteria, viruses and micro-organisms that live in our gut and they dictate our health.
How is our gut microbiome related to our health?
There are many studies suggesting and showing that the microbiome can make us sick if there is not enough of them or they are not in good health, or they can help restoring our health if maintained well.
Moreover, many studies have shown that the brain is affected by the gut microbiome and vice a versa.
i.e. during school examinations we feel “stomach” sick or nauseas, when we need to perform in front of a crowd, we might feel we are going to vomit, or after a lot of mental exertion we might feel hungry, etc. etc.
Who is in charge of our health?
This is clear evidence that our mental state affects our gut microbiomes at least acutely.
If we are in a chronic state of mind like sadness, depression, etc., then we can expect that our microbiome gut will be affected as well, but in a chronic state.
By falling into chronic states, we might expect reduction in the number of gut microbiomes or decreasing in the health of our gut microbiomes.

You are in charge, you can make the difference.
Think simple, if you are rushing you might not eat the proper foods as you don’t have time to prepare. You also might be eating in a rush, something that is not in favor of what the body requires. In the other hand, if you are sad, tired, etc. you might not be willing even to eat.
Therefore, if we don’t maintain our gut microbiome in check, we might expect diseases to develop.
This is a vicious circle connecting the mind and the gut.
